Haifa Hit by Rocket for the First Time

Now that the Katyushas are flying, I remembered that back in 2000 at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico an experimental high energy laser shot down a Katyusha.
Here is a quote from the subsequent press release -

Now, mind you, this was SIX YEARS AGO!!! How about locating this general and finding out why this system could not have been deployed on Israel's norther border. This current situation was totally foreseeable.
