A grandmother and her four-year-old grandson were killed Friday night when Hizbullah rockets slammed into their home as the family sat down to Shabbat dinner.
The child's family had left the city of Nahariya, which has suffered the brunt of rocket attacks by Hizbullah terrorists, to spend the Sabbath with family in the community of Meiron, near Tzfat (Safed). The child's mother and father were also injured in the direct hit on the grandmother's house.
Six other people were injured in the attack on Meiron, including a 10-year-old girl listed in serious condition and her grandfather. The 10-year-old suffered from a shrapnel shard that lodged in her neck when the rocket hit.
