Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed Wednesday during heavy exchanges of fire with Hezbollah guerillas inside Lebanese territory, across the Israel-Lebanon border.
The gunbattle broke out close to Moshav Avivim, which is located along the border, north of Safed.
A number of IDF ground troops crossed into southern Lebanon earlier Wednesday to carry out "pinpoint" attacks on Hezbollah outposts.
