Muslim Birthrate Plummets in Israel: 17% in 5 Years

Many times, Ehud Olmert has justified his withdrawal plans on a single premise: Palestinian claims of large population increase. Like most assertions of left-wing ideologues and of Arab leaders, this has no basis in reality. The most authoritative study demolishes these claims as "voodoo demographics."

Today brings more confimation of this trend: in the past 5 years, the Muslim birthrate has plummeted 17.5%, while Jewish births are stable.

Additionally, there is another supporting factor--violence has skyrocketed in Palestinian-controlled areas, and therefore emigration has likely risen accordingly. Because Arabs in Israel's vicinity are not a distinct nation, they easily assimilate throughout the Middle East and elsewhere.
