Israel continued striking Hamas by air, via ground operations, as well as by sea through Saturday night while Grad rockets hit Ashkelon, Netivot, Beersheva and a Kassam struck Sdot Negev in the early Sunday morning.
Beersheva schools which met Home Front Command protective standards reopened although many high school students were to be schooled in bomb shelters. In the morning, 2 Grad missiles struck Beersheva, and during mid-day a Grad rocket struck Ashkelon.
During the night, IAF bombed 60 targets in Gaza, and IDF ground forces killed 50 Hamas gunmen in fighting in Gaza city.
Israel National News' Hana Levi Julian lists the IAF targets hit:
• A mosque in Rafiah used for storing weaponry, including machine guns and sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles. The mosque was also used as a terrorist training camp and a gathering place for Hamas members.
• 10 weapons storage facilities, including some that were located in the private homes of Hamas members
• 10 squads of armed gunmen
• 9 tunnels used to smuggle weapons and ammunition in the Rafiah area
• 3 rocket launching sites
• An underground rocket launcher
• A Hamas police station
Also hit during the night was the house of Ahmed Jabri, head of Hamas's military wing.

It is unclear whether there was anyone in the building, which is located in the northern Gaza Strip neighborhood of Sajaiyeh. According to estimates, Jabari was not in the house, as he is managing the fighting against the Israel Defense Forces from a hiding place.
It was also disclosed that the Navy has been an important part of Operation Cast Lead having hit approximately 200 targets will coming under Hamas anti-rocket and light arms fire, and patrolling to keep terrorist boats out of the area.
Thirteen Israelis, among them 10 soldiers, have been killed to date in Gaza operations.
