On Monday,
I reported on a suicide bomber who killed only himself just outside an Oklahoma football stadium containing 70-80,000 spectators. Despite the immediate release of information to downplay terror concerns, I introduced it with the question "Premature Explosion?" to indicate that it sounded from the report like someone who had detonated prior to arriving at his target.
Here is an excellent roundup of everything known about the case, which strongly points to a conclusion that Hinrichs was an Islamist who missed his target, possibly because he fled when security tried to check his backpack.
An interesting connection to the story is that the bomb appears to be the same type as the Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building bomb, thus reviving
speculation that Arab terrorists were involved in that incident.
It is quite amazing that the MSM (mainstream media) has almost no interest in pursuing the story or reporting the details uncovered so far.
