In
today's news of the killing of Israel's #1 wanted terrorist, Luis Saadi, there is this important tidbit:
He was originally arrested in 1999, but was freed from prison in January, 2004 when Israel exchanged 400 terrorists for the release of Elchanan Tenenbaum and three soldiers' bodies.
Tennenbaum was an Israeli who was kidnapped in Dubai while concluding a drug deal with a top Hizballah terrorist.
After release, Saadi was known to have been responsible for killing 12 Israelis and injuring 150 others in the Tel Aviv Stage Club and Netanya HaSharon mall attacks. A major terror plot under his direction was scheduled for the next few days.
Earlier I reported that this group of freed terrorists includes the Be'er Sheva suicide bomber. Israeli security estimates that 50% of released terrorists return to their previous activities.
