All the leaders of this "Nation of Islam" organization have to be arrested because it is their 'sermons' which cause people to do things like burning down a liquor store. I also suggest posting some pretty tough guys in front of all liquor stores and beat the crap out of anyone coming to burn them down - yes, I know, that means a 24-hour watch; but it will be well worth it.
With this heighten scare of people who follow the ways of the muslim faith, this situation will only fuel the fire, which i think is what someone or some group wants to happen. Until it is investigated completedly,everyone should withhold their opinion and judgement until the facts are clear. One only needs to remember "divide and conquer". Isn't there enough division within our community. The media can make one see and hear what they want you to see and hear. So stand strong and stand united and maybe we can put a end to this profiling and stereotyping by the powers that be. ( Question):What would happen if the vandals had gone into a white part of town with shaved heads and swazt stickers on the bodies, saying that they did not want that poison in there neighbor hood. Would it get the same type of media play, making the same suggestion, that they had to be a neo natzi or skinhead, or would they be presented as misguided concern citizen, looking out for the children. A little dramatic, but ,you get my point.
The Nation of Islam under the leadership of Minister Louis Farrakhan is not responsible for the liquor store attack!!!!!!! The Nation of Islam under Farrakhan's leadership has no track record of such behavior!!!! A press conference will be held tomorrow in Oakland to clear this up. Stay tuned.
They also said Farrakhan and The Nation of Islam bombed the World Trade Center, I guess you believe that to.
i think we shouldn't jump to conclusions on who is at fault here, whether it was the nation or not. the video's are present, so time will tell who is responsible for these actions. it is true that muslims are not supposed to be selling liquor, however, they are living in a country and abiding by the country's rules, and we'll let god judge them. we all hope to god that these muslim brothers do find another occupation. in the meantime, the person's responsible should look for the drug dealers in the community and send the same message to them. they are doing much more damage to the community than that of the liquor store owners. also, there are better ways than destroying these liquor stores to prove a point. for example, let's work on spreading islam in these communities, in a proper way, and there will be no need for liquor stores. let's work on getting people away from this habit, because if there wasn't a liquor store in the area, the person who wants his liquor will just go find it somewhere else.
i think it's time to work together and not against each other. i myself work in oakland, and i am a muslim arab and many many years ago i was in the business of selling alcohol in the city of oakland, but thanks to god, i was able to find another profession. and there are many like me that were able to get out of the business of selling alcohol but we weren't forced out or threatened in this manner. we as muslims were given the blessing from god to come out of this business, and let's pray that the rest of the muslim brothers and sisters do the same. and lets pray that the community of oakland and the communities all over the world come out of the terrible habit and sickness of alcohol.
