From Israel National News:
Second time in five months: A Palestinian suicide terrorist murders five people at the HaSharon Mall in Netanya. Some 50 were wounded, including at least three in critical condition.
Israel's leadership is to to be blamed for turning over decisions on whether to let in terrorists into the area to the Palestinian Authority. (Of course, they are being let into Gaza, not Israel proper, but they then become part of the general local terror infrastructure that is relatively fungible.)
For years, Israeli officials have been aware of what Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra said
today:
We've learned that the Palestinian Authority does not do anything against terrorists
As in past attacks, there were
reports of heroics on the part of the security guard, who sacrificed his life in accosting the bomber and apparently pushing him away from the entrance, where the loss of life would have been much greater.
This past comment is again applicable:
Israelis can be proud that they live in perhaps the only country where security guards can be relied upon to run toward suicide bombers
Update:
Abbas Approves Reward Payments for Family of Today's Suicide Bomber
In another blow to Ariel Sharon's credibility, a sucide bomber attacked a shopping mall in Netanya today. The Islamic Jihad and Al-Aksa Martyr's Brigade, the latter which is affiliated with Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah gang, both claimed responsibility
