Thousands of Australians, Arabs Attack Each Other
Australian news media describes the native Australians as "drunken" and "chanting racist slurs" and cites an example of "white youths attacking a man of Arab appearance."
The feedback from Australians on Internet sites tell a different story. While there are many comments disgusted over the story of white anti-Arab racism, here are some telling comments from others, that this is a reaction to years of harrassment by all-male Arab gangs. As is the case with young Arab Muslims throughout the West, teenage girls are generally forbidden to go out, leaving separatist gangs of predatory Arab Muslim males with highly misogynist attitudes.
While many of the complaints below focus on harassment of females, there is also anger against a much darker, and geographically widespread phenomenon: Pan-European Arab Muslim Gang Rape Epidemic
-I'm an Australian with Chinese heritage. I think what happened at Cronulla is shameful and un-Australian. I'm proudly singing "We are Australian" because that is what Australia is and we should be proud of it. On the other hand, I also urge the Muslim community to behave better as their attitude recently such as preaching violence and jihad, praising Osama bin Laden, making awful comments about women wearing mini skirts, etc has sparked tension with other communities. We are a very heterogenous society and each community should respect each other." Muslim = bad attitude. Just ask the French.
-While the scenes were tragic, anyone that says they are surprised the events is kidding themselves. Racial tensions are reaching a boiling point in Australia! Mainstream Australia is allowing those new to the country to dictate how they live. Watching our way of life changing is a tragedy, whether it be gang violence or political correctness it is all so very wrong. Where has commonsense gone?
-The Cronulla uprising was the culmination of the community saying "enough is enough" to the fear and intimidation tactics used for years by young "men" of middle eastern appearance. It is sad that the protest deteriorated in the manner in which it did but let's not forget this would not have happened if these youths embraced our culture and values in the first place.
-They deserve it. I'm sick of being racially targeted by immigrants because I'm Australian. It's about time the shoe was on the other foot and they experience what it is to be intimidated and hurt by a gang.
-It not un-Australian at all, it's mates sticking up for mates which is very Australian. What's un-Australian is groups of males harassing others for entertainment and bashing volunteers. Race is the easy excuse, however if they did not provoke the locals with their unsocial behavior it would never have occurred. I do not condone the actions of the mob on Sunday, but I do understand it.
-After waiting 10 to 12 years for the Government and police to do something its good to see the people standing up for what's right.
-I work at Cronulla and everyday gangs come off the train and head towards the beach insulting anyone in sight along the way. Whilst I don't support the action that happened yesterday, I understand the frustration of people in the Shire having to put up with this disgusting behaviour on a daily basis. The politicians need to address this situation now before we have more scenes like yesterday. This has been building for many years and last week's attack on the lifesavers was the straw that broke the camel's back. Our children have been targeted by these gangs whilst they are doing nippers and subjected to language that is very unacceptable in any part of the world.
-Lets face it. Aussies have had enough. We all know those responsible for the bashing of the lifesavers will only get a slap on the wrist. Our whole Aussie way of life is being eroded by ethnic groups and the "typical" Aussie is fighting back! What did the do-gooders and the Government expect? It was only a matter of time...
-I believe the riots are indicative of the frustration Aussies have felt over the years of the Government's soft touch on these minority groups who choose to live in our great country but choose not to abide by its laws and cultural expectations. Good on the Aussies for finally fighting back.
-As an Australian I did find the riot quiet disheartening as we are usually a county that bands together for the good of it. I think it is a shame that this has happened but when you look around and find that we as Aussies are forced to accept every other nationalities special religious days but we are supposed to give ours up because it will upset the minority and is offensive. At daycare some are forgoing singing Christmas carols because it appears racist, the Easter Bunny is not acceptable. These people come to this country and should be allowed to celebrate their festivals and we should be allowed to celebrate ours as well without any repercussions from the many other races that have "chosen" to live here. If they don't like it, then they are free to leave and go back to where they came from. We are becoming a country that is too scared to upset others.
-Rather than thoughtlessly slamming these people who have perpetrated the violence, one should look to the cause and the reasons behind it. Australians are not a race of people who are quick to turn to violence, nor are they are race of people who resort to mobs when emotions run high. What they are doing to reacting to the enforced integration of too many mixed races, and being forced to submit to foreign ways and cultures. No Christmas lights because it might offend others? Well, we're offended that we don't have our Christmas lights, but does that matter? That's where the frustration and the anger is coming from - over-integration and enforced change to us because someone else has come to this, our home.
-The riots are bad I agree, but it needs to be stated they were a REACTION to a previous attack on locals at the beach by the people targeted in the riots. If they hadn't done that, then the riots wouldn't have occurred. Violence causes more violence. If police actually did something to remove society of trouble makers, things like this would not occur. This country is sinking.
-How often do we hear about ethnic gangs causing trouble, the only thing is this time someone has decided to fight back. I certainly do not condone acts of violence and think it's terrible that it has come to this but you can see exactly what these people are standing up for. They are sick of being scared.

I'm proudly singing "We are Australian" because that is what Australia is and we should be proud of it. We are a very heterogenous society and each community should respect each other.
-This problem has been brewing for months if not years whilst various Premiers and Police Commissioners have buried their heads in the sand of political correctness and refused to even identify by nationality and religion the gangs who have been terrorising Cronulla (and other suburbs).
-Living in Queensland and observing via the media, I can understand the level of concern when it appears these Arab-Australians just seem to want to replicate the traditions of their homelands. Their attitude is abhorrent to the average Australian and they perpetuate their snub to society by setting out to damage cars etc.
