1999-Israel/Jordan:: A series of terror attacks planned against Christian pilgrims were thwarted.
2000-Indonesia: At around 9 pm Christmas eve, 18 bombs exploded almost simultaneously outside churches in seven cities, killing 15 people and wounding 96. Another 31 unexploded bombs were recovered.
2001-Israel: One Israeli reservist is killed and four others wounded in a shooting attack.
2001-India: Four civilians, including two doctors, are killed by the Mujahideen in several Christmas eve attacks across the region.
2002-Philippines: Islamic militants blow up bomb using remote control. The seventeen killed include the town's mayor.
2002-Pakistan: Three girls were killed and 14 believers wounded when two masked men dressed in burkas threw grenades into a church in the village of Chianwala, 65km northwest of Lahore. Explosives were also found near a church in the Pakistan capital of Islamabad.

2004-India: Islamic separatists kill two and injure twenty-eight in a grenade attack on a busy street.
2004-Pakistan: Armed fundamentalists kill two employees of an international aid foundation and set fire to vehicles.
2004-Iraq: An explosives-rigged fuel truck detonates in a residential neighborhood on Christmas eve, killing nine, including seven members of the same family.
2004-Bangaladesh: Religious fundamentalists finally murder an economics professor on Christmas eve on campus after several unsuccessful attempts.
2004-Thailand: Islamic separatists plant a bomb on a motorcycle, outside a bank, and kill two people, injuring at least seven on Chistmas eve.
